A Top 10 Builder seek to appoint a Site Manager to complete a development that recently started in Preston with 200 units.
Salary/Package - £48-55k (depending on experience) + company car or allowance, 15% bonus paid quarterly, pension, healthcare and career progression opportunities
Must have previous experience within new build housing delivering quality homes for a recognised builder.
An award-winning builder have a requirement for an experienced Site Manager to join a new near Preston with a total of 200 units.
The company are a well-respected national house builder with a reputation for building outstanding quality family homes and providing excellent customer service.
As a Site Manager you will work on complex and challenging developments to ensure that all aspects of the build programme are delivered to meet specified financial, quality, construction and safety targets and standards. You will coordinate all on-site labour activities and will be responsible for driving your site completion on schedule, within budget and most importantly, to the complete satisfaction of your customers. The ability to effectively manage sub-contractors, plant and materials is essential as is the determination and ability to maintain Health, Safety and Environmental standards of the highest order along with exemplary standards of site presentation.
Duties to include:
" Completion of weekly planning sheets to ensure the overall build programme is met " Providing direction to individual contractors and contractor's management to ensure quality standards are met. " Resolving any conflicts that may occur between operations " Undertake a site safety induction for all new site personnel " Ensure all site personnel comply with the Construction Health and Safety Procedures " Liaise on a daily basis with the sales executive regarding customer options and variations " Plan and arrange visits of NHBC Inspector to carry out stage inspections and with Local Authority statutory services to carry out stage inspections " The resolution of any concerns or defects identified by the customer. " Undertake regular inspection of each property during each stage of the build process and complete "snagging lists"
Skills & Experience required
The successful candidate must have previous experience working for a house builder on new build developments. You will need to demonstrate their ability to work within a team as well as working independently, possess effective "face to face" communication skills and the ability to motivate people is an essential part of this role. You will hold a CSCS card as a minimum and ideally will have a Trade background (preferably Joinery or Bricklaying).
