The Client Bromak are pleased to be partnered with a highly regarded construction business with an outstanding reputation for delivering some incredible bespoke projects across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. The business is looking to recruit an additional Site Manager for the team. The ideal candidate will be from a trades background (ideally carpentry but other trades considered) and will have experience working on intricate and bespoke projects that entail a high level of detail. Based in Ipswich, salary between £40k - £50k depending on experience.
Projects are prominently bespoke, one off property built for private clients but have in the past included some heritage works / conversions - experience on both new build and refurbishment schemes is highly desirable. Project values typically vary between £250,000 - £2,000,000. Whilst you will mainly be responsible for the day to day management of projects, you will also could be actively on the tools where projects require. This long term, permanent position is open to a candidate that can demonstrate a past of managing similar projects (of similar size, detail and quality).
Responsibilities: - Ensuring projects are scheduled for works to complete on time and to budget - Overseeing direct and sub-contract labour, resources and materials - Ensuring a pro-active approach to Health & Safety, ensuring projects follow company procedures and legal legislation - Maintaining a positive relationship with customers,, maintaining a professional standard service to ensure smooth running of the project - Ensuring quality control is adhered to and works are completed to the highest possible standard
Qualifications & Experience - Previous experience managing a development site is essential. - Degree in Construction Management or an equivalent qualification. - Previous experience working on social housing schemes or within general contracting.
