A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a reputable housing company in the North West for a development based in Manchester.
The company deliver a range of properties from affordable homes for first time buyers through to family homes across the North West region.
Site Manager Role
Reporting to a Contracts Manager, as a Site Manager you will be responsible for the operational delivery from out of the ground through to completion. You will be required to work to a strict build programme whilst maintaining the highest possible standards of health and safety and build quality. You will be responsible for the coordination and man management of various subcontractors and attend client progress meetings until handover.
The development has approx. 140 units, a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bed homes
As a Site Manager, your duties will be:
" Achieve production targets and carry out programming and monitoring to ensure that deadlines are met " Read and understand specifications, drawings, preliminaries, preambles and contract documentation " Produce H&S and O&M on completion of projects " Requisition and management of materials/delivery " Issue subcontractors with regular short term programmes to ensure planned progress is achieved " Hold progress meetings " Display on site an up to date copy of the construction programme indicating the progress to date " Give full consideration to the tender allowances when establishing the site compound " Liaise with the design team, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to and maintain good working relationships " Attend monthly cost meetings and agree contribution forecast " Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety aspects " Obtain risk assessments and method statements from contractors prior to work commencement " Safe storage and co-ordination of materials " Preparation / assistance with the site progress reports
Skills & Experience required
The successful candidate must have a proven track record working as a Site Manager on design and build New Build housing projects, ideally Affordable Homes.

The company offer a salary of £45-50k + car allowance, mileage, bonus scheme, company pension, healthcare, 26 days holidays and ongoing training and development.
