We are looking to recruit a Site Manager for a Construction Contract based in Birmingham, B15. Our Client is a National Construction Contractor looking for a reliable and experienced Site Manager for their project in Birmingham.
The project is a new build of a 22 storey apartment block valued at £125 million. This includes 188 apartments, a ground floor retail unit and leisure areas and will consist of the part demolition of a Grade II listed building. As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for:
Managing a site team including Tradesman and Subcontractors ensuring works are being carried out to programme and within budget Monitoring Health and Safety on site Attending progress and Client meetings Liaising with the and resolving any potential issues that may arise Striving to achieve production targets and carry out programming and monitoring to ensure that deadlines are met Reading and understanding specifications, drawings, preliminaries, preambles and contract documentation Requisition and management of materials/delivery and staff Liaising with the design team to maintain good working relationships
You must have SMSTS & First Aid certificates and a CSCS card, preferably a Managers card. You would also need previous experience of working on high rise projects including experience in hard landscaping & groundworks. Also experience of working as a Finishing Foreman would also be desirable.
