Role: Site Manager Type: Full Time / Permanent Sector: House Building Location: Preston Salary: £45 - £55k + package
My client are a quality housebuilder specialising in small and exclusive developments in the Lancashire region. They specialise in building family homes built with character and style for modern living.
With a number of new developments in the pipeline in the Lancashire region they have plans to build approx. 150 units per annum. As a company their focus is quality not quantity and delivering homes with minimal defects.
As a Site Manager you will be reporting to the Construction Director and will work closely with the sales, commercial and technical departments.
Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
" To achieve the programme and quality requirements " Prepare and maintain traffic management and site strategy and review as required " Carry out pre-occupation checks on all properties prior to handover " Deliver home demonstrations to customers in their own home " Communicate customer satisfaction surveys to all site based staff " Ensure that all plots to be handed over have adequate and appropriate access, parking, street lighting and signage " Maintain the highest standard of site presentation at all times " Supervise various trades/labour staff " Monitor the performance and effectiveness of direct reports " Train, develop and coach direct reports " Ensure customer satisfaction
The successful Site Manager must have a minimum of 6 years experience working as a Site Manager running your own development from ground stages through to CML, handover and site completion, achieving customer satisfaction within programme and agreed budgets.
Key skills required:
" Extensive knowledge of the housing industry " Ability to organise trades and subcontractors " Ability to work under pressure and meet programme deadlines " Good problem solver " Team worker (working with all departments) " Ability to motivate and support staff " Meeting deadlines " Attention to detail " CSCS Card, SMSTS, First Aid at Work " Trade background " Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation
