Award winning regional contractor looking for Site Managers to join their team.
Responsible for general construction projects across the North West valued up to £6M
Competitive salary starting at £35K plus package.
Regional Construction Company who specialise in complex projects across a wide range of sectors, education, industrial, social housing, commercial and civil engineering.
Their projects that can range from structural alterations, adaptations and full internal & external refurbishments.
This role will be working on a high-end office internal refurbishment in Manchester City Centre.
Due to an increase in work they are looking for self-motivated, knowledgeable and talented Site Manager who wants to take ownership of a project whilst receiving first class support from the Contract Management department.
Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, your duties will include:-
To achieve production targets and carry out programming and monitoring to ensure that deadlines are met
To read and understand specifications, drawings, preliminaries, preambles and contract documentation
To produce H&S and O&M on completion of projects
Requisition and management of materials/delivery
Issuing subcontractors with regular short term programmes to ensure planned progress is achieved
Attending and chairing progress meetings
To give full consideration to the tender allowances when establishing the site compound
Liaising with the design team, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to and maintain good working relationships
Attending monthly cost meetings and agree contribution forecast
To ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety aspects
Obtaining risk assessments and method statements from contractors prior to work commencement
Safe storage and co-ordination of materials
Preparation / assistance with the site progress reports
Requirements & Qualifications
You must be driven and motivated individual, with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Manager on general construction projects such as apartment blocks,
You must also have the appropriate CSCS Management Card, SMSTS and First Aid tickets.
In return for your skills, the client is looking to pay a basic salary of £35K upwards plus package.
