An excellent opportunity has arisen for a permanent Site Manager to join a main contractor based near York to work on projects valued between £50K-£1m within the North Yorkshire/Teeside regions.
My client is a main contractor, due to an increase in the company size and project wins, they are looking to recruit a permanent Site Manager to be based in within the North Yorkshire region. The work within various sectors Leisure, Health, Commercial and Educational.
The Role - Senior Site Manager
Reporting to the Contracts/Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Assisting with pre-start details
Reporting to the Project / Contracts Manager on the progress against the programme
Maintenance of company required Health & Safety procedures / initiatives including PPE, Site Inductions, Management of Method Statements/Risk Assessments, Work Permits, Scaffold/Lifting equipment inspections
Adherence to the Company quality standards including Management of defects, compliance with specification, compliance with materials / workmanship schedules, subcontractor code of conduct, considerate Constructors Scheme
Coordination / Leadership of the site team
Assisting with the preparation of the Health and Safety file
Maintaining and update Construction Phase Health & Safety plan as works proceed
Liaising with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc
To be responsible for the opening and closing of the site facilities
Management of site facilities; welfare, toilets, offices, compound area etc.
To assist in the management of project specific preliminaries
Co-ordinating the Sub-Contractors as appropriate
Preparation / assistance with the site progress reports
Safe storage and co-ordination of materials
To be responsible for the accurate / timely completion of site based documentation
Attendance at project and company related meetings
The Benefits -Senior Site Manager
The client is offering a salary of up to £50,000 dependent on experience. As this is a permanent role you will be provided with a company car,/car allowance, healthcare and pension.
The Experience Required - Senior Site Manager
To be considered for this role you must have previous Site Management experience working for a General Contractor on projects values between £50K-£1m as well as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at work qualifications.
