My Client is one of the UK's leading providers of planned and responsive maintenance services in the Social Housing sector, maintaining more than 500,000 properties Nationwide every year. Due to managing an increased number of properties, my Client is looking to recruit a Site Surveyor for the Wellingborough region.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be required to provide effective cost management and cost control on their Planned Maintenance projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparing detailed breakdown of costs from inception and at each stage of works
Present full proposals to the Client
Compiling sub-contract orders and their subsequent issuing to Contractors
Client application and payment management
Carrying out cost and value reconciliation on all items
Overseeing spend on in-house and sub-contract labour and material procurement
Preparing Cost Value Comparison (Profit & Loss) notes
Attend specification meetings to confirm site specific specification requirements.
Attend pre-start meetings.
Place and issue sub-contract orders in accordance with Group Policy and Commercial Best
Attend and minute all sub-contract order adjudication meetings.
Liaise with all Departments on sub-contractors' performance and compliance with order conditions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Candidates must have a proven track record of planned maintenance works such as kitchen and bathroom upgrades, re-roofing, window and door replacements, cyclical decoration etc.
Must have good knowledge of SOR (Schedule of Rates) NHF Rate Book
