A young and dynamic contractor require a Small Works Manger to join their expanding team!
Managing several contracts across Cumbria, Lancashire, Manchester & Wales conducting on site quality checks on conducted heating and electrical works.

A building services specialist experienced in providing a range of M&E, Utility and Renewable Energy works for a wide range of clients.
They offer a range of services from heating installations to full electrical rewires to the following sectors: Commercial, Educational, Industrial, Residential and Retail.
With in-house design and delivery teams, this growing company is capable of offering a full turn-key M&E solution, from design and consultancy, to delivery and maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the company provides a full turn-key M&E solution, they require a Small Works Manager to oversee, co-ordinate and control activities across company accounts.
The role requires the Small Works Manager to travel to works across the accounts to conduct thorough health and safety checks to the works conducted on sites, complete the required paperwork and quality checks to make sure the works meet both the client and companies regulations.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:-
Overseeing the delivery of M&E and heating works are making sure they are completed within budget, on time and to client satisfaction;
Providing an interface between Project Managers and Engineering teams for the delivery of the works;
Maintaining a positive image for the company whilst conducting checks and actively propose improvements to increase client satisfaction;
Keeping up to date with current regulations and health and safety requirements;
When necessary liaise with local authorities, fire authorities, H&S Environmental agencies with regards to services provided;
Contribute to company KPI's for both account/client management and engineering services.
Electrical and Mechanical background within the construction industry working on a mixture of projects;
Previous direct management experience within similar environment;
Previous experience of budgetary control and training;
Current knowledge of legislation and Health & Safety requirements;
Strong interpersonal skills - maintaining and building client/supplier relationships
A full understanding of key issues to be noted on inspections.

You should be:-
Able to plan and manage own workload, managing a number of contracts across Cumbria, the North West & Wales;
Actively updating your knowledge of H&S and Safety obligations;
Work with a result driven and client satisfaction focus;
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills;
A natural born strong leader with good interpersonal skills;
Have a flexible approach to work as role will include travelling to projects which may also involve unsociable hours;
Hold a full clean UK Driving Licence;
CSCS Card (Manager level);
First Aid at Work;
Valid NVQ in Mechanical or Electrical qualification (NVQ or equivalent);
IOSH Managing Safely (desirable).
In return for your skills, the client is looking to pay a basic salary of £40,000 - £45,000 plus company package including car allowance.
