Posting a turnover of more than £10m for the last financial year, up 11 per cent on the previous year, gives us reason to be cheerful for the time being at least. However, it seems there are other reasons to be more upbeat as we – and many of our clients and partners – enter a new financial year. Our clients seem to be conducting more business than they have for some time as the construction sector wakes from a period of stagnation.
We have witnessed a steady increase in the use of agency labour, increased use of temporary management and professional staff.
To ensure we have the service on the ground, we now have offices in Liverpool, Lichfield, Sheffield and Durham to support our Bolton headquarters as we continue to grow the business UK-wide.
Meanwhile, we have formed Bromak Civils Solutions (BCS) as a specialist division after Labour Trades Limited, a specialist civil engineering recruiter, merged with Bromak. Again, we are anticipating growth here and we expect to achieve sales of between £1.5m and £2m over the next 12 months.
BCS will service clients involved in quarrying, landfill, highways construction & maintenance, power and utilities projects.
In the training industry also, we see organisations investing in their people at all levels from apprenticeships to management and leadership. The construction sector of 2013 requires individuals that are highly trained, safety conscious, organised, skilful and flexible. To deliver at the highest level needs training in best practice at all levels of a business and we are proud to be working with our clients to help achieve this.
We work with major UK contractors, developers, local authorities and housing associations and we are the only the recruitment consultancy in our sector accredited to deliver Construction Skills training, and we continually improve this area of our business.
At Bromak, we continue to train and develop our own talent as well to ensure we are in the best possible shape for the future, and we are enthused to see so many other businesses hold the same ambitions for themselves and their own employees.
With the provision of services like training, we hope to continually add value for our clients as we emerge out of difficult times.
