Surge in the need for skilled workers in the South East
6th December 2013
A surge in the need for skilled personnel in the south east has boosted the Watford office of built environment training and recruitment specialist Bromak. Bromak is now being used as the preferred supplier to two of the UK’s largest social housing contractors, delivering specialist recruitment and training services.
The firm has partnered with one of these contractors to organise and co-ordinate recruitment days in London and the Home Counties, after a contract win opened up new job opportunities.
Bromak also reports a surge in the number of temporary and permanent vacancies being registered in the area, indicating that the economic recovery is well underway.
Carla Lamb, who leads Bromak’s Watford office, said: “Business is buoyant after the announcement of a number of big projects in the South East, resulting in an increased demand for skilled workers.
“This is reflected in the positive signs from many of our clients in the region and points to an exciting future ahead. The recruitment days we co-ordinated were organised in pursuit of the very best talent within our industry and we’re pleased to say the days were a resounding success.
“We were enlisted to oversee the running of both events, which allowed the contractor to focus solely on interviewing prospective employees.
“We put candidates forward from our own talent pool and the contractor recognised the skills these individuals possess and offered them employment as a result.
“As well as filling the available roles, the interview days have encouraged new people to register with us and the feedback we’ve had has been excellent.”
The success of the Watford branch signals Bromak’s increased prominence in the south as the firm continues to grow nationwide.
The centre opened earlier this year to provide on-the-ground support for Bromak’s key clients in and around London.
