“Be prepared for your interview – research the company, make sure you have a clear understanding of the role/JD and prepare questions to ask at the end of the interview – and most important – Make a great first impression, do not be late for the interview!!”

“When registering with an agency, give them an accurate idea of the following:

  • Your salary expectations
  • How far you are willing to travel
  • What sector you are ideally looking to work in etc.

The agency will work in line with the details you give them, and this will help them to find the right role for you.

If they place you in a role when ultimately it is not what you are looking for – it will merely waste yours and the Clients time.

If the agency ask you if you have experience in a particular field, i.e. fire stopping works or fit-out which is not showing on your CV, don’t say you have that experience if you don’t because if it is a particular question the agency has asked you, it means the Client has specifically asked for it and you will more than likely be asked for examples in your interview.”
